How social media impacts self-esteem

No one doubts that social media has a direct impact on self-image and self-esteem, especially among younger people. Emotional distress can arise from various factors: constant social comparison, the search for social validation, the pressure to conform to unrealistic beauty standards, exposure to all kinds of comments about one's appearance, and the pressure to portray a life full of activities and experiences that isn't real.
