Eating disorder

When is a person with an eating disorder considered to have recovered?

A person with an eating disorder such as anorexia or bulimia is considered recovered when they have restored their physical, psychological, and social functioning. This also includes when the person loves and accepts themselves, both inside and out. A consensus on recovery is necessary among the affected individual, their family, and the therapeutic team. If the person has fully recovered, they can resume their life plans.
